COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
At the heart of everything we do is a vision for a connected, vibrant, and healthy community. We believe strong communities are built through genuine relationships, shared experiences, and collaborative action. That’s why we focus on initiatives that are shaped with our community, not just for it.
Our work involves community consultation and co-design of local initiatives, ensuring that the voices and needs of our people guide what we do. We practice collaboration in everything—partnering with local organisations, groups, and individuals to create meaningful outcomes. We also run events that celebrate the diversity, creativity, and talent within our neighbourhood, helping to foster a sense of pride and belonging.
We offer programmes and courses that equip and empower individuals, tamariki, and rangatahi to reach their full potential, where they can learn, grow, and build strong relationships in a safe and supportive space.
Our work is grounded in core values that guide everything we do. Whakawhanaungatanga places relationships at the heart of our mahi, recognising that true well-being comes not just from services, but from the quality of connection and care that surrounds them. Oranga reflects our holistic view of health, grounded in te whare tapa whā—valuing not only physical health but also belonging, connection, and balance.
We value ako, the reciprocal process of learning from and with one another. And we are committed to a sustainable future by supporting emerging community leaders, walking alongside them as they grow in confidence and strengthen the communities they serve.
If you have an idea or passion for this community, get in touch to see how we can partner together to make it happen!
